Jessica Hickey
Cheryl Walter is a retired music teacher and currently the owner of Norwin Express Tours, LLC. She graduated from Carlow University with a degree in Music Education. She received an Alumni Leadership Award and the Carlow Distinguished Service Award. Cheryl began her career as an elementary music teacher in the Wilkinsburg School District. In 1986 she began teaching at Norwin School District and retired in 2011. After 20 years of arranging trips for her students and friends, she began a 2nd career as a travel agent. Cheryl founded the Expressions in Harmony Foundation to continue the community work that she began during her teaching career. Her hope is to keep all of her former students involved in community service and to encourage other students to find fulfillment in community service.
Currently the Customer Satisfaction Representative at USA Insulation of Pittsburgh, Linda retired from Carlow University in 2012 where she served as the Director of the Carlow Fund and had also served as the Alumnae Director for a number of years. Linda received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carlow University and a Master of Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Bridget Faulk received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana and her Master’s in Choral Conducting from Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA. In 2011, Bridget happily accepted the role as Senior High Choral Director and Show Choir Director at Norwin High School. Bridget has been on the Expressions in Harmony Board since Fall 2020, but has been heavily involved in the mission of the foundation since starting at Norwin in 2011.
Alex Fumero serves as Vice President of the Norwin Show Choir, President of Bel Canto Treble Choir, and is also a member of the Norwin Theatre Company and Chamber Singers. Music has been an important part of her life and personal journey since she was very little. By growing up and joining choirs and other performing ensembles, she has been able to expand that passion for music and transform it into a way to branch out to her community and help others. Being the Student Liaison means she can even extend this message to her fellow peers. Expressions in Harmony is a foundation that allows her to spread the joy music creates and she is very excited for the valuable experiences she will gain.
Jessie Messina is a graduate of Norwin High School (2002) and also a alumni to the Norwin Show Choir. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a BA in Human Geography, continuing her education at East Carolina University, where she received a Masters in Human Geography. She has seen first hand the generosity of the Norwin community for HEARTH and is proud to help the next generation continue the traditions created. She joined the board in the Fall of 2019 and is excited to see what the future will bring, for The Expressions in Harmony Foundation and HEARTH.
A Founding Member of the Expressions in Harmony Board, and the parent of two Norwin Show Choir Alumnae (2002 and 2012), Kate is a 25 year resident of North Huntingdon. A Texas native, after graduation from high school, she went on to East Texas State University (now Texas A&M Commerce) for her BA in Education. She has a MA in Whole Systems Design from Antioch University Seattle.
She brings to the Board her knowledge of educational systems and her ability to see the big picture and facilitate the accomplishment of the Expressions In Harmony Vision. Her goal as a Board Member is to expand the model of music and community service to school districts nationwide.
Gloria Gralewski is a board member with over 30 years of fundraising experience. She feels her past work with the American Cancer Society, Relay For Life and numerous other local charities will help the group continue its mission of financial support and community involvement to HEARTH.
Eric Perkins is a healthcare IT consultant with a passion for giving back to the community. He is a 2008 graduate from Norwin High School and a 2012 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, earning a B.S. in Health Information Management. He is honored to be involved with a foundation who’s core values taught him so much during his high school years.

Ashley Bodnar is Vice President of the Norwin Show Choir and a member of Chamber Singers, Norwin Theatre Company, and Bel Canto Treble Choir. As a 14-year dancer at Ken & Jean Dance Studio, a participant in the Cecchetti Council of America, and a Dance Masters of Pennsylvania ambassador, performing is a key part of who she is. Music—through its infinite beauty—cultivates happiness. By focusing talents on service learning, Show Choir combines her passion with purpose. She is extraordinarily grateful to collaborate with the Expressions in Harmony Foundation and bring joy to others through the power of song.
